This is one of the most historic boulderfields in the Southeast. John Gill bouldered here in the early days and left his mark with some beautiful problems. More recently, it has become famous for being home to some of first hard (v10 and up) problems in the South, thanks to the hard work of folks like Andrew Traylor and Adam Henry.

The area is still vital and every now and then it sees a first ascent. It was here that many strong climbers got strong and left their mark. Moss Rock (formerly the Birmingham Boulderfields) is a great place to visit during the Fall and Winter.
