Fort Payne, AL has become a center of new climbing interest lately. While many are focusing on putting up hard new routes at Little River Canyon, some boulderers are taking interest in the nice boulderfield located just inside DeSoto Park.

During the summer of 2002, Lee Means took a break from civilization to commune with the boulders of DeSoto. A few weeks later he emerged from behind the camp store with a brand new topo and many fresh sends. Visit DeSoto for 30 or 40 cool boulders with problems ranging from V0 - V7/8. Just be sure to check in at the store first.
